John Denver is a popular musician and singer who has been able to touch many by his lyrics. Many of these have roots in Colorado. Born Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. in Roswell New Mexico, he was in love with Colorado and eventually settled in Aspen. Many people beat a path towards Colorado due to Denver's famous tunes for the state he was raised in. G. Brown the curator of Colorado Music Hall of Fame stated that John Denver was by far one of the most popular performers who embodies Colorado. Denver was the initial Hall of Fame inductee in 2011. Denver is the symbol of Colorado for many people across the globe. Through my travels I've encountered individuals who are from New Zealand or the other side. When you tell that you're from Colorado the first words they'll use are Oh John Denver. Brown stated. Denver's debut Top 10 hit as a solo artist after a short time in folk group included Take Me Home Country Roads co-written with Bill Danoff. Danoff was credited with Johnny Cash as the inspiration for the song, but Denver realized that it could be a huge hit after it was discovered that an earlier version. Danoff recorded the song within a couple of days of having performed in Washington D.C. before an large crowd who were very appreciative.
